Victoria / Rachelle Marie Lefevre

Full Name:
Victoria

Status: Vampire

Hair color: “Brilliant orange”

Eye color: Vampire burgundy

Family members: A member of James’ coven and his mate

Personal history: Victoria is the one member of James’ clan that we don’t know much about.  We know that she went after Bella’s scent and ended up chasing down Esme, who was wearing Bella’s clothing, and Rosalie.  We also know that she is still out there at the end of Twilight.

She appears again in March of 2006 and begins feeding on hikers while investigating the area.  She is trying to kill Bella in revenge for Edward and his family killing her mate, James, but is continuously chased off by the La Push werewolf pack.   It is assumed that Victoria was the “fire” that Bella saw on the water when she nearly drowned.  But, by the end of New Moon, she seems to have retreated further than ever after the return of the Cullen family.

Date of Birth: February 1, 1979

Height: 5’6

Hair: Fiery Red

Eye Color: Blue

Hometown(s): Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Career: Rachelle Lefevre is a Canadian actress, born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. She speaks both English and French. She studied creative arts at Dawson College, studied theater for two summers at the Walnut Hill School in Natick, Massachusetts, and began a degree in education and literature at McGill University. While working as a waitress at a sushi restaurant in Montreal, a regular customer helped her get an audition for the television sitcom Student Bodies. She didn’t land the part, but got a call back from the casting director, leading to a lead role in the Canadian television series Big Wolf on Campus in 1999, playing Stacey Hanson.

Lefevre appeared in the film Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, directed by George Clooney in 2002, and had a role in the romantic comedy Hatley High in 2003. In 2004, Rachelle moved to West Hollywood, California and appeared in the films Noel, directed by Chazz Palminteri and starring Penelope Cruz and Head in the Clouds, also starring Cruz and Charlize Theron In April 2004, Lefevre filmed the mystery-thriller The River King in Halifax, opposite Edward Burns.

Rachelle has appeared in numerous television series, including: Life on a Stick, playing Lily Ashton on the short-lived television show, Charmed, playing Olivia Callaway on the episode “Love’s a Witch”, and on the fifth season of Undressed, playing Annie Isles. She was cast as Annie Cartwright, the female lead in Life on Mars, a David E. Kelley remake of the original British  TV series. She shot a pilot episode, but as of June 2008, the role was being recast.

Lefevre plays the renegade vampire Victoria in the upcoming film Twilight (2008), based on the novel of the same name by Stephenie Meyer. Directed by Catherine Hardwicke, the film was shot mostly in and around Portland, Oregon.

Quick Quote: “Someone on the internet wrote how I was taking myself very seriously, how I thought I was a method actor. Now, I did watch lion attacks on YouTube. And this was because Stephenie (Meyer) used the word “feline” to describe Victoria as being agile. So what am I gonna do? I’m going to watch cats, because that’s the word Stephenie used, feline. Because I’ve established that I’m not the most graceful person, when I say I acted like a cat I don’t mean I was drinking milk out of a plate. I didn’t want to feel like a fool doing all these vampire movements, so I wanted to put it in my body. It was like a theater-school exercise. But I’m glad that I did it. Though maybe I’m not glad I told people.”
